ARIES completes testing under the IBM System Storage Proven™ programme

June 7 2006 – Belmin Group Ltd today announced that its ARIES solution has successfully completed interoperability testing with IBM’s System Storage (IBM DS4500) products and has been confirmed as IBM System Storage Proven. The IBM System Storage Proven program builds on IBM’s already extensive interoperability efforts to develop and deliver products and solutions that work together with third party products.

ARIES is a new automated reconciliation and invoicing service developed by Belmin Group Ltd, designed to deliver significant efficiency savings. Procurement process savings are key to meeting the Gershon savings targets and ARIES can be offered to all UK public sector organisations to reduce costs and capture spend analysis. It will replace existing manual methods of invoice processing.

Government departments and agencies, NHS Trusts, local authorities or other public sector bodies (PSBs) will create electronic orders within their procurement systems. These orders will be sent to their suppliers and copies forwarded to ARIES.

ARIES receives the forwarded orders and allows suppliers to access the system to confirm despatches against those orders. ARIES then creates self-billed invoices (which will be 100% accurate) and initiates payments via government financial systems. ARIES works alongside your existing eProcurement and finance systems. Since ARIES enables reconciliation of order queries before the order is accepted and despatched by the supplier, any problems are resolved upstream in the process and not downstream.

The IBM System Storage Proven programme supports the ability of independent hardware and software vendors to build high-quality solutions with the latest technology on leading storage platforms as well as reduce solution design time when multiple, tested building blocks have already been pre-tested.
