Belmin Group makes donation to Asthma charity

Belmin Group Ltd is pleased to announce the beneficiary of its recent charity draw: The AAIR Charity.

AAIR (The Asthma, Allergy and Inflammation Research Trust), founded in 1990 is based at Southampton General Hospital with University Medicine and was set up to raise funds for important research into the causes of asthma and allergy with the objective of finding effective treatments and cures.

AAIR, through the continual support of patients, supporters and staff has raised thousands of pounds which has been used in wide ranging research including the search to identify the genes which are the root causes of asthma, allergy, eczema and inflammation. the following research conducted at Southampton General Hospital hightlights the work of the dedicated staff that continue to fight the causes of asthma and allergy.

AAIR was nominated by Hampshire County Council's Julia Simpson, who left her business card while visiting Belmin Group's stand at the recent GC2004expo exhibition at Earls Court. Hers was the lucky one randomly picked out of the hat by Tony Field, CEO of Belmin.

Tony said, "We are delighted to make this donation to the AAIR Charity, chosen by Julia. AAIR is working very hard to raise vital funds for significant research into asthma and allergy and we are certain this contribution will be put to great use."
