IBM & Belmin release ARIES Invoicing Solution NHS Case Study

With a total expenditure of £160 million, the County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust began implementing an electronic purchasing process strategy seven years ago by adopting an ePurchasing system which resulted in cost savings.

At that time, eProcurement did not address all problems of supply chain management. With half of its invoices still problematic, the trust wanted to reduce significantly the issue of invoice reconciliation.

The Trust turned to a solution from IBM and Belmin Group Ltd to implement its ARIES (automated reconciliation and invoicing efficiency savings) service.
