Belmin Group and QTEL sign strategic partnership agreement |
 |
Belmin Group Ltd and QTEL Europe Plc have signed a reciprocal global marketing agreement for the portfolio of both Belmin’s and QTEL’s products, software applications and consulting services.
QTEL markets, provides, builds and operates secure private global communications networks. It delivers secure communications networks to a broad international market comprising governments, national defence establishments, the diplomatic community, international organisations and consumers.
QTEL uses proprietary methods based upon high speed wireless infrastructure technologies that broker secure broadband relationships across widely distributed networks. QTEL’s distributed architecture moves data more efficiently and effectively to the edges of physical networks through intelligence rather than brute force. This results in a low cost method of connecting large numbers of users. QTEL is a leading player in WiMax 802.16 technologies as applied to secure networks and has a number of joint venture partnerships with overseas governments.
This agreement provides QTEL with exclusive rights to market Belmin’s portfolio in various emerging markets and also grants QTEL a global non-exclusive license to Belmin’s portfolio.
Speaking on the strategic partnership, Jack Cleary said, “This agreement provides both organisations with excellent business opportunities in some very exciting markets. It allows QTEL to deliver Belmin’s e-Procurement and e-Government solutions to overseas governments over secure networks at a cost some 50-90% lower than using conventional technologies.”
Speaking on the strategic partnership, Jack McWilliam, Belmin’s chairman said “Together, Belmin Group and QTEL can deliver innovative network solutions to both UK and overseas markets and we anticipate that this combination of technologies has the potential to make a significant impact in the UK public sector and beyond.”
